About Dr. Coselli
S. Coselli is a native Houstonian who earned his undergraduate degree
at the University of Notre Dame, and his medical degree from the University
of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston. He completed both his general surgery
and thoracic surgery residencies at Baylor College of Medicine. He currently
serves as director of the Baylor Thoracic Residency Program, Chief of
the Division of Cardiothoracic Surgery at the Baylor College of Medicine,
Chief of Adult Cardiac Surgery at the Texas Heart Institute and St. Luke's
Episcopal Hospital, and also serves as Associate Chief of the Cardiovascular
Dr. Coselli's clinical expertise is in cardiothoracic and vascular surgery.

Coselli is a member of numerous societies and professional organizations
including the American Association for Thoracic Surgery, American College
of Surgeons, American College of Cardiology, American College of Chest
Physicians, American Heart Association, European Association for Cardio-Thoracic
Surgery, European Society for Vascular Surgery, International Society
for Heart Transplantation, Peripheral Vascular Surgery Society, Society
of Thoracic Surgeons, Society for Vascular Surgery, Southern Association
for Vascular Surgery, Southern Thoracic Surgical Association, Southwestern
Surgical Congress, Texas Medical Association, and Texas Surgical Society.
Dr. Coselli has authored or co-authored more than 200 peer reviewed articles for scholarly and professional journals; contributed chapters to more than 20 books; produced 21 educational videos and films, and given more than 350 presentations to professional audiences worldwide. His subjects include a broad range of topics surrounding the diagnosis and management of thoracic diseases.
